Description
Though dried and shriveled this plant stays sturdy and strong despite the effects of aging seeping into the stems. In defiance of age, this cone-stick native holds its head high while the leaves hold on tenaciously. I am enamored by the contrast between the cones and the foliage, one so strong the other wispy, crisp, and fragile.
There can be a great deal of dignity at play as the aging process progresses. The thought of leaving the planet in a state of humiliation is no one’s pleasure. Withering and undefeated 3 represents the coexistence of strength and frailty in each of us.
