Not far south of Armidale NSW, Australia, lies a property in a place named Kentucky. Autumn colours abound before extremely chilly winters arrive. Just as the sun rose, I ventured out with gloves, scarf and a warm as toast coat snuggled around me. Across the gateway entrance and upon the sentry of poplar trees an orange light shone itself in a blaze of welcome warmth. The ice crystals of the heavy frost soon surrendered to the sun burst. The colourful leaves of the previous day had drifted away in the chill of the night, but the orange sun burst added that amazing colour thrill as it juxtaposed against the frosty ground. With this early morning kiss, the day had begun.
