The rhythm of an iris is superb, flowing, swooning, and yet possessing elegance. “Dancing in the breeze” is a rendition of this idea. Discovered in a cottage garden, this iris possessed a natural rhythm that I felt inspired to capture. The challenge was to portray movement and yet retain a sense of the species. I feel the movement won. Tirelessly elegant the iris swoons with the nudge of the breeze in a dance of pure delight.
