Stunning in so many ways, this iris held me spellbound. Found in a Tasmanian garden, I felt honoured to attempt to portray its beauty. The softness and transparency of the petals held me captive as I stroked the surface with the soft pastels, hoping I could offer justice to the flower. Warmth pervaded the setting and my artist’s heart.
